Good work Simon! 2kg is a hell of a saving.

My single speed has been delivered so will pick it up next week when I've got time.

Question for you.

Cycle lane and slow moving/stationary traffic.

Are you allowed to undertake slowmoving/stationary traffic down the inside if you are in a cycle lane?

Theres a couple of cycle lanes on my way to work on relatively busy roads. The traffic on these roads is normally very slow moving or stationary and I normally undertake where the cycle lane is. Granted I slow down (only a bit mind) and where theres junctions I slow right down. Surely its OK to do that?

Not had any near misses or angry drivers I just thought about it when riding in this morning

Jamie isn't that the main benefit of cycling?!

Strange ride today, thumbs kept reaching for the gears think I need to change to the 16 tooth on the rear instead of the 18, spinning out a little

It's downhill to work and uphill home, so will will see that aspect laster. I want it to be harder rather than easier so I'm getting some benefit. It's a 42T

Too easy! 16t cog has gone on. To be honest my commute is fairly tame anyway so should have stuck that one on first time round!

Round trip to Weymouth tomorrow with a mate of mine. He talks a good game but he is pretty slow. Should be about 80 miles.

Rewarded with attending bournemouth beer festival in the evening.

My parents are Solihull so about 70 to there I think so 80 os probably right to Bham centre! A good time ago I did a ride to Stratford Upon Avon and back but that pretty much killed me! My other half is joining me at parents on Sunday so I can get a lift home When you riding?
