First bit of the game is just unnecessarily annoying when all you have as a weapon is shit like a wood plank

Very much this. That first sharp weapon makes a massive difference.
Based on the first few hours Dying Light definitely has potential.
Love how it encourages exploration by not marking everything on your map like most games seem to do these days.
Jumping on R1 is a bit though.

I echo most of that Balling. Very good game, good graphics. I managed to get to the point where you set light traps, the one in the train yard annoyed me a bit. Then some guy joined my game, slowed me down so I booted him.

Not sure. Didn't disappear after you left, but then I haven't tried logging back on.
Might be on tonight, but think I'll focus on progressing the campaign a bit as it's going to be more fun with a balanced team.
Running around clubbing zombies with a table leg gets slightly frustrating when Gary is zooming around the map with a grappling hook, slaying zombies left and right with his long sword.
Wonder how mission progress transfers. If we do a mission in co-op will the progress transfer to each persons campaign?
Might be time we made a Dying Light thread...

Sorry Balling, I did see both your invites to a heist last night, but I was waiting for one of my mates to come online so I could finish mine off

Looks too difficult for me. Never been tempted by the Souls games for that very reason.
And those load times!

The suspend and resume feature from the 2.5 update is absolutely brilliant. No more waiting forever for GTA to boot.

Just picked up my PS4... what's good? Thinking Far Cry, Assassin's Creed & Need for Speed.
It came with Bloodborne & Dark Souls but really not my kind of games!

Getting somehwere with bloodborne now, just killed the cleric beast!
Father Gascoigne keeps fucking me up though. Need to find the tiny music box off the girl in Yarnham, that will make him stay in beast form for longer

FC4 is a good bet if you like shooters. Fairly pretty as well.
Everyone really should play Killzone. While not a fantastic story, it's enjoyable and offers some great action. Most importantly it's hands down the best looking game out for PS4. Oh, and it's the only game I've played so far, that actually makes use of the touch pad in a not completely pointless way.
Should be able to pick it up for next to nothing.
AC: Black Flag is good. Shadow of Mordor is supposed to be a great AC-like game as well, though I'm yet to try it.
Need for Speed was mediocre, imo. Didn't really enjoy it.
I'd go for Driveclub if you want a racing game.
If you haven't played Tomb Raider, it's worth looking at as well. Great adventure game. Think Uncharted with a darker tone.
inFamous: Second Son is worth a play through. Decent story and some great action. Easy to platinum and just as easy to forget. But fun while it lasts.

Regarding that touch pad, can you use it for games like The Walking Dead? That would be really helpful...
Never played Assassin's Creed before, but between that and Watch Dogs, it seems to have the better reviews.
Completed Tomb Raider on the PS3, as I did with Grand Theft Auto 5 & The Last of Us! Shame really.
Did like the first inFAMOUS, but never got round to playing the second one.
I'm mostly looking forward to the new EA golf game lol
