It's Keswick area you want to head to, can do the bash depending on time of day. Better later on as there will be a lack of walkers. Or just try whinlatter, with an addition or 2.

Reaching out to some of you guys who are far more knowledgable then me. It is possible to spend circa £200 and get a decent starter road bike? Not sure I'll take to it so thinking spend a little and have a crack this summer, see what I think first.....

Spec is shite imho i did see one perfect for you yesterday was a slash 8 on pinkbike was only 2.3k with fox 34s 160mm kashima ,rear shock was kashima drcv xt brakes amd drivetrain reverb etc

Pivot are awesome bikes ive test rode the same model i linked. I just think that ebay ad is overpriced for what it is

Head angle looks way too straight even compared to my xc fuel tbh. No offence but you test riding something means as much to me as the paperboy riding it.

I got a carrera tdf brand new but second hand if you get me? £200

They are £600 reduces to £325 in halfords at the min

think i will stick with trek, I've ridden a few remedy models and a slash before and i get on well with the frame, plus id not like to sink money into something I've never heard of.
