Surely it wouldn't run at all if the fuel lines were on the wrong way.

Ones a outlet, ones a inlet. Then ones a vac thing? So if they were the wrong way round I'm sure they wouldn't work yea lol. I just think it may be contaminated fuel?

Took a pic of how they run under the car.
What side of the fuel pump does the fuel filter hose go? The part where if you take the big bung off in the interior you can see the hoses. What side is what?

The one from the FPR (Thing with vacuum) should just go to to the fuel tank, the other should go via the fuel filter and to the fuel pump obviously. Just follow it, Won't be hard.
How long had the fuel sat anyway?

That's what I mean I wanted to try everything I could before braking into the piggy bank lol. As soon as I turned it over it sounded much much healthier.

Dont bag it up as the cover will fill with moisture and screw the relay. Just tuck it out of the way of water

That's what I thought. On my old loom it were in the interior, on this loom it goes into the bay. Because it's a early astra gte 20xe. Still really silly why they have it going into the bay lol. I'm gonna find a new dry home for it anyways.
See you a tvl. ( if my dash is back in time lol )
