driver side arch trimmed (about 35mm again), welded up inner arch and seam sealed (not pic'd)
arch trial fitted
Both arches bonded on
Does my bum look big in this
Hub Centric spacers... the studs were too long for my lug nuts so needed trimmed a bit.
Wheel on again, and lowered to roughly normal height (other wheel wasnt on so guesing). Some of the new wide GRP arch will need trimmed back (the lip) but other that that the spacers and wheel fill the arch nicely I think.
and more of the cut out metal!

just thought the bracing looked quite bulky and heavy, fair do's
Arxhes look good, are you going to get it wrapped over the arches? what you doing with the rivet heads, just being left or filled over?
You planning on running wider tyres at some point or the ones you have more than sufficient

those wheels are 9" wide.... and we have three sets of wheels..
8x R888's fitted, and 4x Slicks fitted. Also another 4 R888's unfitted. Changing wheels would be very expensive just now
Its prob easiest to just wrap the rear 1/4s again.
Rivet heads - didnt use pop rivets in the end. I've bonded them on, just usig self tapers to hold the arch tight whilst setting. The screws will/have been removed, and i'll fill/smooth the arches in.

blerghh... more sanding, filling, cutting, shaping etc today
Smoothed the join on the pas side
I HATE this crap... filled the gaps between old skin and new flared arch with expanding foam. That should help make things a bit stronger too
High build primer....
white primer...
Started blanking the hole for fuel flap in the drivers side. I bought an flush aero filler cap and some hose today. Decided to keep the OE tank but use a new flap

pas side painted... needs a fine rub and laquer though.... just to get a nice smooth surface for re-wrapping (white doesnt quite match!)
drivers side blended in, and started on the fuel flap blanking (Should have done this before it was fitted but changed my mind!)
New fuel hose, and flush cap

its not a perfect finish (paint wise) as its getting wrapped.
The pas side has now been flattened ready for wrapping basically.
Drivers side - The fuel cap is secured, and the wing primed

nearly there... not perfect, but it'll get wrapped
oil drained, new sandwich plate fitted, pressure and temp sensors fitted.... gauge mounted. Just the wiring to sort out, and refill the oil.

do you have wide fronts as well or are you just doing the rears?

just wide rears just now.
May opt for GRP wide front wings and widen the front track in time.... but no plans to at the moment.

ready to wrap now.... think the rear bumper will need wrapped as its never going to look the right shade might also get the lights re-wrapped as they are fuel/soot stained
Rear bumper looks to need a bit of jiggery pockey to get it sitting right...
wing is back on, and its basically ready to rock
SPA gauge - all done, but +ve wire will need done again. I connected it to an unused wire which turned out infact a switched live that went on with IGN but off with the lights! The back light for the clocks prob. Doh. Easy to fix though

some updated pics.... a halfhearted wash, needs a good wash as there a lot of ingrained dirt, oil stains, flying rubber marks and general grime from last year.
Try and ignore the colour differences at the rear. Its booked in to get wrapped at Vinyl Cut next week.
PHAT...
