have you checked that the camshaft pick up wheel is in the correct position if it isnt no matter what you do it will bring up a camshaft sensor code you find it under the cam cover bolted to the side of the inlet camshaft even if its a touch out it will cause a missfire i come across this when i replaced a timing chain kit about 2 months ago

The engine has never had thetiming chain done, as I said before there is a possibility the timing has jumped to cause the misalignment.

No further progress deadliner! Went to newcastle for a week and have been working quite a bit so havent touched the car atall As seen said its starting to lead to a suspecting timing chain which means pouring money into an engine i really dont want to! Really dont know what to do tbh! Spent a little while last night speaking to a friend who used to do a fair bit of work with b's and novas and used to be a mechanic and he was literally running off the list of everything ive done! Just want it to be fixed now! or get another car!! :/

lmao rather than worry about getting it down there see if you can get the car to the engine mate and fit it up here
it would prob be cheaper to get your car beded up to here than the engine to you lol
