Can't be fucked. Rad needs to come out. Doesn't come out easy as FMIC brackets welded I front of it..

Just took hoses off and is definite play in the turbine

Video doesn't show noise much but v loud when driving

Bit hard to see play on the turbo from that vid, but sucks mega balls anyway.

Hold turbo and record whilst other hand showed the play.

Have never checked a turbo for play before, but I'm sure any play is bad, and it's noticeable on both side of the turbo too

Has it got any in/out play too, thats normally the sign of it being fucked, always have a slight left right etc play.

Booted it against a mate. Noticed weird sound afterwards, and no power.
Pulled over, heard a hiss, and vac had come off the dump
Valve. Sounds really odd when tap accelerator, and ink initial start up. Idles on all 4 fine.

Thinking boost wasn't released and air forced back down towards turbo fkin it up

If there's a hole in the hose could be a big boost leak.

Ten tonne of play is waste gate due to loose bolts inside it (we never touched this)
Done up, no play now after having take whole waste gate apart, and nearly breaking my face with massive spring. Used lock tite in them now. Going to refit along with turbo and everything else. Think was problem, especially as gasket is black on just one side...

Well I quickly refit all this morning as new bad wearer was due. Had two bolts to do up then started pissing down!! Quickly done up went to start and flat battery :@

Left on charge and hour just to test and sounded so much better again

Slight air leak possible as idle was up and down but that may be due to it just about starting as battery so flat. Will let it charge.

So good news looks like all fixed and didn't cost more than £5 (new gasket)

Everybody uses it, it's freshly rebuilt, so I have no need to run thicker oil, used before in xe engine too, does job and is cheap
