Genuine question - did Rvp ever come out and say he would never play for anyone else in England except arsenal? Obviously Cesc has done that in previous interviews.

Nope. RVP never said it. He said he wanted to stay and win trophys for Arsenal, as winning them with another club wouldn't mean as much.

I've seen a few rumours about this happening! The rumours of rooney to arsenal were always going to come as soon as we bid for Cesc. Can't see it happening myself, I really think rooney will stay and Wenger will be rubbing his hands that he gets half of the Cesc fee. Everybody is assuming that arsenal want Fabregas which may not be the case.
