Bit of work on the car today
Had a wee look at the wobbly rear wheel that was probably affecting handling at the last trackday...
Here's a vid of the extent of the wobble...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw3WbE7firA
We only really noticed it after fitting the new spacers, but not sure whether it was down to them or if they just amplified an existing problem from the crash at Oulton
Took the wheel off and checked the hub face and spacer again. The hub face appears true but the spacer a bit 'kinked'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u1TKAT2GMc
Another spacer is on its way now so that will hopefully solve the problem.
Had a check of the suspension whilst the wheels were off and gave it a wee clean. Still looks pretty fresh...after 2 and a half years of track work
Cleaned up some of the rear of the car as well, exhaust, arms etc
Raised the boot skin a wee touch too

Front end checked out today... susp looks nice and clean/fresh, but I think we may have a leaky inner CV boot on the drivers side. A lot of grease around but no signs of tears and the boot is tight. Cleaned it up and will monitor it.
Needed a new lip on the splitter after the last one got damaged over the last year. Cleaned off the old adhesive/dirt, and stuck on the new one.

Gave the inside of the car a bit of a clean...
Cleaned, sanded, dusted, hoovered
Covered most of the holes in the floor with pop rivetted aluminium patches.
Have given it a quick coat of primer. Planning on spraying it matt black to see if that helps with visibility out of the rear screen...the plain aluminium fire wall caused a lot of glare.
New wheel spacer arrived and is on as well, but haven't tested it yet.

Tidied up the cage where the door bars were welded and just primed.

Floor is all sprayed now and everything (nearly everything...still waiting for the new battery cage) is back in.
Did a bit of rewiring...cleaned up/relocated/cut out some stuff to make it a bit neater.
Sprayed the seat rails as well, as they were a bit rusty.
A few from before it was sprayed
Not too sure about the blue gear surround....that was Adam's idea
Any idea what this bit is? Found it to the left of the steering column. Thought I would check before pulling it out

from a company called CarBuilderSolutions, or CBS
Google 'carbuildersolutions demist'
Greame - Its not a common rally car like an Escort, Evo or Impreza so cant seem to get heated front screens for it.

Ahh ok, I looked into one for my mk1 astra and were easily avaliable but suppose that may be a bit more common. Think it was about £180 for that so not to badly priced.
Also suppose there isn't really extra weight saving really.
