2nd and 3rd place are pretty weak in my opinion. How do they pick who wins?

who ever sets the challenge chooses the winner themselves.

Heres a few from a bikee trackday at Knockhill the other day! I cant edit them because my usual laptop with photoshop has kicked the bucket Light conditions were very dark on the morning! Which made things really difficult, had to use a very high iso to capture anything.

Went to a wedding reception on Saturday. This is mum and dad. Standard 18-55mm Canon lens. Standard EOS 450D flash.
Focal Length: 18.0 mm
F-Number: F/3.5
Exposure Time: 0.0666 sec. 1/15
Metering Mode: Multi-segment
Compensation: -2.0
ISO Speed: 1600
Flash Mode: On
White Balance: Flash
C+C welcome because I'd like to know what I could have done differently. I quite like the effect with the amber light in the background - it doesn't make the standard flash look too shocking.

I dont know the exact settings but have a look on custom functions for rear or 2nd curtain flash, can give some cool effects in that situation like light trails etc, im trying to get to grips with it at the moment.
Bit of info here at the bottom -

2nd curtain flash only works with a flashgun on the 450d. The flashgun has to have a setting for it aswell, which you will get with the 430 mk2 you just got as its the same one im using.
But yeh you get some cool effects with lights, i do nightclub work and its usually how i do it.

depends how much you want to spend my redsnapper one was £75 buts its amazing.
only 2 downfloors with it is lack of spirit level so i cant tell when the cameras really level, and i have to take out on of the handles everytime i put it in the bag.

I did that night
I only bought my 70-300 a week or so before you put yours for sale *DOH*
I'd probably do a swap for a 50 if your not going to see yourself using the 70-300 tbh.
