just got my expensive bits of plastic through the door.

£25 for the bumper bracket is laughable!

shame you can only get them from bmw, but hopefully that's the end of all the problems now.

true, although i just remembered i still need to replace the auxillary belt as the guy who done the service said it was quite badly perished. not expensive though.

keep getting an intermittent red battery light come up on cold start-up's, which is either the battery or alternator. could it also be the perished auxillary belt slipping?

seems strange though as the car still starts fine and isn't struggling at all. not too bothered about it for now as it's running fine.

Yeah it could be slipping, but why would it on cold start up? Less grippy?

Btw is your engine quite tapity?

very true. when i bought the car the guy said the battery light came on but went off when starting warm. been a year now and still no actual problems. a new alternator isn't that expensive anyway, as you trade your old one in and get money off.

engine is a bit tappety yes, only noticeable when the bonnets up. asked about that before and it's normal.

Provided it doesn't shear like my starter motor did on the corsa. No value in it with every mount broken off

Yeah it's a lot more noticeable with the bonnet up. Very annoying though.
I already want more exhaust noise. It's too refined lol

same thinking of straight through 'backbox' as one of the brackets has broken off it. that seems to be quite restrictive with regards to noise output.

Yep, think it costs about 250 quid to get that made up. Quite a good idea as it means you don't need 2 seperate back boxes either side.

Thought you already had front spacers?
My mate was selling the other two to go with mine but I didn't want them. Should have said, think they were 20s

I have 20's but they made the tyres foul the inner arch liner need to get 12-15mm's and sell the 20mm's on.

Project appease CS users has begun...

before:

after 1 coat:

still need to give them another coat, but it does look a lot fresher.

this time i bought a proper artist brush so i didn't get paint on the outside of the pads. hope Seth's happy about that.

i also found my spare key, which needed to be charged up via the ignition. the boot unlock button didn't work on my original key, and on this one it does, so i can finally remote open my boot

I did my Civic Type R calipers in Hammerite silver and they stayed fresh for the 9 months I had the car before selling it with no real effort.

Looks tonnes better than mucky red...

They will slowly turn gold, once heat gets into them.
Happened to mine after painting them silver.
