Could maybe stretch to two days, no chance I could manage that in a day

I'm not interested in getting much sponsorship. I'm mainly going along so she isn't on her own. There is a reason behind it all but I won't go into that now. Will save that for when the sponsorship link is up

53 miles in the amazing, awesome sun today....thats the longest ive ever cycled solo without stopping... was so nice out there today after weeks of ice and wind.

I very stupidly forgot to take cash with me, and the one rice krispie square I had in my pocket didnt really cut it. I think if I had eaten better either during or before the ride I could have gone much longer, and it would certainly have made the last 10 miles more comfortable by which point I was pretty hungry.

Got my self some shimano cycle shoes as well which really make a big difference .... always suffer badly from cramp after longish rides but I feel fine now so the solid shoe sole definitely made a massive difference.

On course for a 100 miler by the end of summer which was the goal

Yeah bugger riding on the road. Far too cold!

When we do bits on the road connecting trails instantly get cold hands and feet.

Well the fox forks went over my budget not by much also only had a 180mm steerer where as my forks have 190mm all be it with a 10mm spacer and 5mm at gap to the top of the stem. Looking at some 100mm reba race shocks now buy it now 225 so probably going to go for them as they are the forks that come with frame I want to buy in the future

And this. I hate it when on the roads for a short period, especially at night unless it is a well lit down when I can jump up kerbs and generally dick about.

I go biking to get away from the rat race, let alone join it on the roads for circa 100 miles.

After selling my road bike to fund a new bike, ive been buying parts for a few weeks now and finally got my mate to build it up for me last night.

SLX crank, brakes, shifters, xt cassette, xt shadow clutch mech, xtr chain, hope hoops with blue hubs, blue hope stem, hope seatpost, rockshox revelations

Really please with it, just need to get a powerlink before I ride it any long distance..

As a driver I hate cyclists, as a cyclist I hate drivers.

I rarely have a problem with bikes as a driver, and It's even rarer I have a problem with cars as a cyclist. Admittedly it was much more sketchy when I used to do a commute on a bike at rush hour, people brains don't work that early in the morning

My main problem is the state of the roads around here.... At times I am being forced out into the middle of the road to miss these holes, had some genuinely scary moments today having to take evasive action on descents

I think that a lot of the commuters you come across while driving behave quite badly, both in cars and on bikes. The difference being is that a self important biker is going to come off a lot worse than a self important car driver.

I have a few loops now which involve quite a bit of road, once I get into the countryside it's quiet as anything and it's easy to let the cars that do come by past Even thinking of getting a cyclocross bike now

They look like quite versatile machines, a road bike which I can take down a canal path sounds great
