Why would you be gutted for Ivory Coast? Greece deserved to win it, Ivory Coast massively disappointing.
What a tournament it has been so far though the best advert for football there has been in decades, despite Suarez' best attempts to derail it.

I wanted to see Drogba go out and smash a big team, then bow out of the world cup a hero.
That was the dream anyway.

Well, theyve charged Suarez, possible 2 year ban from international duty. Not sure if it'll be imposed on domestic football?

Don't think he has been charged. They have opened opened disciplinary proceedings against him but he could still be found innocent.
The ban would only be international and not domestic so he would be free to play domestic unless he somehow gets charges with a randon domestic rule
As for Ivory Coast - Don't think they deserved to go through. They were nothing special again and very wasteful. They had a 4-2 attach at the end which would have sealed it but they just messed around with it.

Drogba couldn't smash a poor Greece side, he's 36 and fit for a 15 minute cameo max.

Unbelievable Suarez... surely an absolute minimum 6 month ban, if not a year. Seems some confusion about whether international bans carry to domestic, seems that they do in theory but domestic assoc's can choose to ignore them if they want :\
hilarious watching Liverpool fans trying to support/justify him etc

Also, quite gutted for Ivory Coast... they waited 8 years to get a decent draw and then still cant get out of their group :\
amazing how certain great players domestically just cannot do it for their countries, add yaya toure to the wayne rooney, Daniel sturridge etc. list

Who's everyone been most impressed by thus far? I really don't get the Neymar hype but he just turns it on for Brazil, phenomenal record and been superb in the main so far.
That said, if I had to pick the standout player, it'd have to be Jimmy Rodriguez... looks so so good, composed, skilful and direct. hard to believe he's still 20/21! Do wonder if anyone will try and steal him off Monaco - take a big fee though!
Shout out to Robben too ()

Gordon Taylor ->
"I've not known Fifa to impose a domestic ban as well as an international ban unless it was related to an infringement for drugs. They do have that power."
So they obviously do have the power to impose a domestic ban if they really wanted to

Do you think he would be better off just admitting it and saying I have a problem and i want to try and work to solve it than these poor excuses he is coming out with?
