was going to start taking front end to bits to sort out the blowing gasket between turbo and manifold. bloody started to rain so gave up. put a spirit level on the engine. its sitting way down on driver side. and i mean way down. it used to sit level, and sit square aswell. actually quite saddened by it all. might have to miss some drag strip action next week. lack of money to buy parts, and not enough time to check if i need parts, and to order parts and then parts to be delivered etc. sad times. will try and get it figured out tomorrow.

maybe. them conversion shafts ive had for over 6 years. were in my old xe corsa for about 2 years which got nothing but utter abuse all day long. then in the turbo for last 4 years which got nothing but utter abuse and still does all day long. theyve stood up quite well really to the pain.

started taking front end to bits. for one, means can remove the gasket from between turbo and manifold and run it gasket-less like it seems most do. also means can try fitting the new driver side alloy mount. still in the middle of doing it as needing a mate to come round and level and jack the engine into place so just having a break.
thats not right.............
bugger. shouldnt be that close to the chasis leg.
quite easy with a removable headlamp panel
maybe cant see it but black soot on top of turbo is coming from where the gasket is blown. simple enough to sort really. will have it done in a bit.
wish i hadnt taken that pipe off
mount to change
small turbo. i can hear a vtec so im off to carry on with it. bye bye.

you want to get some brass nuts for the turbo-mani joint . normal steel ones can kinda work loose with the heat

engine mount finally fitted. finally is the word.
some of the tools needed. it took 3 pry bars, some random bar, some screwdrivers, 2 people, some swearing, an axe/hammer some more swearing some cups of tea and some tobacco to actually be able to achieve it.
honest to god, its the hardest engine mount ive ever fitted. my mate says the same. its the hardest mount he has ever had to make fit. we did some swearing and i nearly lost a finger when a bar slipped that we were leavering the engine with. id recommend to anyone wanting to fit them, have a spare few hours, possibly a few people and several bars.
so now it has clearance again. winner.
and the angle is better as according to the spirirt level. mate used his iphone to check aswell, but i didnt take a picture of that as i think iphones are a bit too poofy for my liking.
tomorrow night will fit the rad and fan, oil cooler and intercooler and bumper. then job is hopefully a good one. engine mounts really do make the engine virtually solid in the engine bay.
oh, and removed the blown gasket from the turbo. the whole back edge had disappeared. random.

face fit shall be right im sure. if it needs one can fit one quick enough. front end is fair easy to work on and that. mates ibiza on gt2876 never had gasket, other fellas celieca on gt30 doesnt plus a fair few other people i ken dont either. if not new gasket is 7 quid so be right.
