It's a nightmare insuring a xe properly when your younger mate, but it will be worth it once you start driving it and having some fun, if its any help I insure my nova with brentacre and they were spot on over the phone, they gave me a bhp limit which meant I can do anything to the car like for like just I can't break the bhp limit, it was about 150bhp a think and I only pay 117 a month I have 2 years ncb so not bad I didn't think, but I also told then it was a second car so maybe that kept prices down a bit aswell.

Ahhh thanks joe! Going to ring brentacre and the other ones that are quite good but i phoned them 2 months ago and they said i had to have either one years ncb or be 20 Im 20 next month but ive got a named drivers ncb does this still count? Ive just had to be a named driver for 2 years as i physically couldnt afford £5000 :/

It's always going to be hard I think mate at a young age nd yeah I was a named driver on my first corsas it is the only way lyk.

Darryl - I just got a quote on compare the meerkat and it came out 3100 at the moment so thats not too bad im hoping with brentacre or whatever they are called its going to be around the 2500 mark i hope!! touch wood

I know but at 19 with no ncb, 5 points for driving off from an accident and a £1200 claim against you (all the same thing btw) Its not easy to get modified insurance cheap! :/ and your corsa is a 1.0?

Haha yeah mines a 1.0 but I have full ncb, I'm 22 on Friday and pay 500.
Was checking rich's e46 on insurance and that comes back at 1k so not too bad. Still more reasonable than a corsa
