gave the car a quick clean and took some pics, taking advantage of the beautiful day we've had so far. went to my usual photo spot as it's a disused car park, so no one looks at you like you're some kind of weirdo

the car has a sort of monochrome look about it now, which i like.

the driving position is one of the things i love about this car. check out where my seat is here, just in front of the rear axle.

Really nice.

Did you watch 5th Gear this week? They had a <£5.5k sportscar comparison between a Boxter S, 3.0 Z4 and an RX8. Not really anything particularly interesting in the review but the Z4 he was driving had amazing red leather.

He rated the Z4 above the Porsche too on build quality, interior, etc.

Unfortunately I missed it, but it was a z4 forum members car, worth considerably more than 5.5k as it was a fully loaded model. The red leather is stunning. I need it!

Do you wear your shades when you have roof down Ben?

Cos my mate did when he had his Z4. Even if it was raining.

Looking clean as usual.

I used to, but I left them on the passenger seat one day and the missus sat on them sunglasses are essential as the sun can be blinding with the roof down.

Driven 15 miles just now and have a headache because of it

Yeah I can believe that, it looked loverly.

The RX8 was a right mess though, chrome wheels and go faster stripes, stupid intel stickers (you know those LET Inside type ones?) He mentioned that the RX8 cost £1500 but he failed to mention that they need a new engine at 60k miles... exactly

Looking good! I would personally go with silver wheels though.

What are these like to own/drive? I've just been looking at 3.0 Sport Coupes!

darryl, it's a great feeling having the roof down, although you do feel quite vulnerable, especially when in traffic on on motorways driving past lorries.

norcy, the 3.0si engines in the coupes have about 35 more bhp then mine so i can only imagine it'll be better to drive, aswell as having the stiffness due to the fixed roof.

made a start on sorting out my scratched interior plastics.

the facelift has matte black plastics, so thought i'd do the same. window switch surround and speaker.

i need to do the door handles, but i want them body colour.

currently doing the centre console bits, so will update when they're finished.
