That cant be true as surely you'd have bitten their hands off. That would be a terrible deal for Chelsea

As soon as I hear of a swap deal I automatically dismiss it as made up shite, when was the last time you heard of a swap deal being done

BBC Sport now running with the story (bid not swap deal). They dont usually put anything up unless they are fairly sure its true.

Haha not very often though. As much as swap deals never happen, I would have taken juan mata and 10m for Rooney, the problem is united policy is to not sell to other prem league clubs

I hope Scottish Dave isn't just trying to assert his authority here for the sake of it by insisting he's not for sale. If there's a good deal that suits us then we should take it

I suppose his thinking is it would leave you a bit short upfront. RVP isnt the most reliable when it comes to injuries, if he goes down that would leave you with Hernandez and Welbeck. Hardly a league winning front line.

Actually thinking about it, it may have been top players to other prem league clubs

True. I think I'd still take Mata though. He can produce the goods all on his own. And Hernandez is still decent. But I do see what you're saying.

I could see him going to Chelsea and Mourinho getting the best out of him. Massage his ego, make him the main man.

Supposedly Mourinho doesn't like Mata, so that's probably why the mirror have got that idea.
Selling him to Chelsea would be ridiculous for utd though.

I think it would be good in terms of England too if he was getting games

This has been Annoying me a while now, what does Richard Keys do with Rooney, is he a promoter for him or something? Obviously has some kind of vested interest in him

If the assumption is United have been offered £10 million plus Mata and they have rejected it, they are fucking idiots.
Alternatively this could be a ploy by Mourinho to unsettle Mata and Luiz (as that's exactly what it will do) and encourage bids for both.

Been a couple of swap deals thrown around lately, Higuain and cash for suarez was another one. I'd definitely take £10m+mata but I can't imagine that ever happening. I'm starting to get a bit apprehensive about our dealings. Really hope Moyes has a plan of attack for the remainder of this window but I'm not confident.

Absolutely. Tbh, I think he will end up at Chelsea now. Mata + £10m is a fucking good offer! United are after a creative player and he is just that.
I actually hope Luiz stays in the PL Love watching sideshow bob.
