Why is the engine is mix of things, is it just that its cheaper buying individual parts than a whole ITR engine?

How hard would it be to beast in a k20 from a EP3, what engine has the newest ITR got? is it still got a 1.8, i'm sure that is 220bhp or something?
?

the new itegra has the k20 like the p3 but a bit more power.
there are kits available and afew uk boys have done it, engines are getting cheaper aswell, the main issues is sump clearance, ie there being non. few options around this, can use the sport sump, little better, or dry sump which obviously costs a bit more. conversion kits are only from usa atm so prices on them are still quite high. as it becomes more and more popular someone in the uk will start stocking them though hopefully

I can imagine a k20 in a ek9 shape civic would be vastly fun and still handle pretty good too.
"conversion kits are onlyfrom u atm" you mean you have to make the kit yourself?
Why has the ITR got more power?

sorry i mean the us. the DC5 has more power as its tuned to a higher standard and use higher octane fuel in japan so have bigger spec iirc. they're 240bhp whereas the uk k20 has 200. LSD boxes are cheaper on the b series engines too and hard to get hold of for the K's espescially cheaply, in the next few years i can see them getting cheaper as more are broke however

Indeed, I was just looking at some youtube vids there and they seem quite rapid, one of the cars has 255 tyres at the front
I'm looking at some conversion on k20a.org which is american but it should be near enough for right hand drive cars.
