I get why more manufacturers are making Ring editions, it's so the photographers pick them out

im back,
the ring is something else. its not what car you have, it knowing the track, and actually getting round and not killing yourself is good going.
really really technical track.

Back...
Was a good weekend, had a good laugh.
Did a 8:57 BTG lap with traffic, could go quicker but the tyres were letting me down (v.loose) and getting a clear lap was impossible. I kept forgetting i was not on semi slicks and it was getting scary (for me and my passengers) - so I decided to stop trying, despite having 2 laps left on my ticket.
The ring was busy SO BUSY! The busiest I've ever seen... would take 1 hour + to queue for a lap and most of the time it was closed.
Some great meals, drinks and banter. The Butler family kept me and my dad amused!
I hate lack of torque.

Don't know, he looked like he was going well. but not sure he was bothered with timing.
If any of them are timing, I can guarentee their best lap times will be done today, as they'll get a clear day. Getting a clear track makes such a big difference.

How come you came back earlier than the rest then.. wasnt it a big long lonely drive back on your own or was Butler with you.

5 of us came back yesterday. Unfortunately I have work I have to do. Deadline on a project due on friday.
I'm gutted tho, as it was SOOO busy, I'd of loved to have had a nice quiet track.
If I upload my 8:57 vid you'll see what i mean, cars and bikes buzzing around all over the place...
The track was shut about every 5 mins from accidents. You'd do a lap and go through 4 yellow flags where cars or bikes were stacked into walls.
I came quickly round one bend and there was a bloke running up the track telling me to slow down, got round the corner and a bike was smashed up in the middle of the track and a bmw was all crunched on the left side. I had to go over the grass to avoid it. If that bloke hadn't of warned me (if I had got there a few secs earlier, I'd of piled into the same carnage).
It was mental So many accidents. Hearing about Deaths and people getting Paralised for life.

The only confirmed laps I know of are me and Pauls, Warren didnt even go out on friday so his 9.14 was just a joke pressumably. IIRC his best on sunday was a 9.43.
