He really does think the world revolves around him and his massive ego. Its funny that he didnt even get to take one in his big game, but im gutted for Portugal, nice country with nice people.

You do realise Fabregas asked to take the last penalty for Spain...

Jesus wept who wouldn't want the chance to score the winning penalty for their country!

The 4th penalty is normally the decisive one

Fabregas is the man. I love watching him get excited when he scores important goals. Arms and emotion everywhere

Yeah I like Fabregas, like I say who wouldn't want to score the winning penalty for their country. Just amuses me that he doesn't get any stick for it

You are getting confused you lovely ginger man.

Ronaldo is the best penalty taker Portugal have, he should be hitting the 1st penalty as Alonso did for Spain. Fabregas was asked to take the 2nd and requested the 5th as he 'had a premonition' of him scoring the 5th. Ronaldo plainly asked for the 5th as he is a glory hunter when his country needed him to score one earlier.

I think Fabregas is a bit of a glory hunter too he just used clever words to make it sounds like he isn't. Another reason why I like him

As above though, the 4th penalty is statistically the most important of the sequence

Pair of eejits.

Doesnt Ronaldo usually take them further down the line? He scored the winner against England IIRC

Granted at that time he may not have been first choice.

As fucking horseshit as this 4-6-0 tactic is, it shows the level of football being played when it gets them to the final Might be the single biggest rope-a-dope since Ali where he plays an all out attacking formation on Sunday with Llorente getting his chance Or they might stick to nae strikers
