Seen a bit on Facebook about this Swinley lark.
Does it all start from The Lookout centre place, opposite side of the road to that water park?
Car park is always mental busy - will be worse now!

That's where we have always parked, you were always supposed to by a riding permit from the centre, not that I have ever been checked.

Yeah its at the Look Out.
No permits needed now as of April 1st.
Just costs to park which is £4 for the whole day.

Awesome session at Chicksands Bike Park this morning. Conquered a lot of fears.
Managed to do the Big Ladder, Mini-me, Mighty-me and the Bull Run double. I appreciated if you've never been or are not local that has no meaning to you what so ever

Swinley red route done today along with the blue.
Blue is the most fun route, the red uses a lot of the old single track.
But my rear hub went about 1/2 mile from the end of a 13 mile ride, so.......
Do I fix it
or
New bike
Do I just say sod it and buy a new bike with better components which will see me good for more years than fixing the old.

New bike. If you are anything like me, once you have considered a new bike, even if you fixed the broken one you will still end up wanting a new

If you can afford it, I'd go for the spec up, as you get XT components over the standard deore stuff, the brakes are better on the 7.0 also, it's also a little bit lighter as well
Edit - also, look in the outlet section as there are some bargains to be had depending on what size you need..

I have even put it in my shopping basket.
Had a look on the outlet but couldn't see anything.
Would deffo be an upgrade over my boardman. Which in all fairness has done about 600 miles since September with a 3 month break cos of the collar bone and been properly used and abused.
Upgrading to a full sus as well would be good.
Still trying to justify it in my mind. my get the boardman repaired and shift it on ebay.

The boardman should sell relatively easy, they are a great intro bike for mtb.
