Some of the things you say are valid but that has just shown you up, we bought our success have we

So our youth setup and bringing all those young players through into the first team 15+ years ago didn't happen did it?

Yes we spend money on signings but united were always ran as a profitable PLC buying players out of revenue rather than having a sugar daddy rolling over interest free loans

Then one of your kind came along (yank) and ruined all the stable financing we had

Damn, remind me to tell Chelsea that they won fuck all under Vialli / Gullit in the the immediate time before Abromovich. I must tell their fans to wake from that fucked up dream that shows they are one of the biggest teams in England!?!

ManUre bought their success, Chelsea pushed the mantle further although they already had recent success prior to a 'sugar daddy' making that final step.

City, well that's different, they are twats.

Carling Cup and FA Cup are a little differant from the Premier League title.

Portsmouth and Spurs won domestic cups.

Marc: Note the part of the quote you removed about the 'final step'

Plus, they picked up both the League Cup and FA Cup on a few occasions, plus the UEFA and the Super Cup IIRC? Certainly FUCK ALL like Portsmouth.

How? Prior to the inception of the Premier League ManUre hadn't won the league for about 26 years wasn't it?

Yeah, thought so, you just backed my point up perfectly. Cheers.

You pretty much said that, as you put it a "sugar daddy" came along.

Its not working out for Shity obviously. Mainly because you can only attract second rate stars.

No, it was in speach marks because someone else had used that phrase.

Oh, less of 'you' when talking about City. I don't support them, anymore language like that and I will steralise your mouth with paraffin before chipping flints on your teeth.

What you have to ask yourself is, does it really matter that much at all? At least your team has won some silverware recently Could be worse, could be a Arsenal fan

Chelsea were lucky, had it not been for abramovich they would have been in a worse state than Leeds ended up in! Financially they were FUCKED and all that overspending got them was an FA cup and a league cup. Didn't even qualify for the CL IIRC

My bad than, but its still hardly mega success when they were spending beyond their means. Had he not come in and bought them success they wouldnt have been close to Utd now. Saying Man Utd bought their success more than Chelsea is a bit rich, they would be somewhere in footballs lower echelons/bust had it not been for abramovich's billions.

They say immitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It's nice to know that it's accepted that I am superior because it's hard to soar like an eagle on a website full of turkeys.
