Keeping on the Liverpool theme, they have apparently bid £5mil for the best left back in the world.

I'm amazed that Utd fans know nothing of Phil Jones, who plays in the same league, but know that Sanchez is the next Ronaldo

Liverpool are saying it was £17m for Henderson, Sunderland are saying it was £20m. £20m is probably with addons I guess.. both amounts are far too much for him though.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3629324/Ashley-Young-takes-Utd-spree-to-55m.html
The Sun seem very sure of themselves, saying the Ashley Young deal is DONE, they're saying he passed his medical yesterday and actually signed his contact last night.
Really hoping it's not true, especially at £20m, As i think he would struggle to take Nani's or Valencia's starting positions on the flanks, and there is just no way he will be competing for the second striker role like where he plays for England which is the only time he actually looks decent.
Waste of money if true and i was hoping our major signing of the summer would have been a fair bit better than him

Could mean Nani on his way? Does seem a bit weird going after Young when there's no place for him in the team

I don't know why he would want to sell Nani, considering he is imo better than Young and is still improving as we all know he has bags of talent & unfulfilled potential.
And United probably wouldn't get a massive amount more than the £20m they reportedly spent on Young.
It all doesn't quite add up to me.
Oh and Cleverly isn't being loaned out eithe, Fergie says he will be competing for a 1st team place at United this season so there is even more competition for a place on the wings [and that's before we get to the mighty wing duo of BeBe and Obertan ]

Young signing would be a good one IMO. If United get Young and a top class midfielder everyones going to get raped next season.
In Guardian today about Paedo Ken in for £5m Clichy. Would have hoped for a bit more. He can go though as long as Wenger buys Baines.

£20m on an average player with a year left on his contract is unlikely.
