Had the car on the rollers at Wallace Performance today to check the map with the new exhaust...

Got a bit more power with it now

E85 map
611.3bhp, 456.4lbft

V Power map
568.9bhp, 432.2lbft

thats a nice healthy gain further up the revs, losing out slightly on spool/lower revs.

40bhp gain from exhaust change is great Just a pitty we didnt know out old 3 1/2" exhaust system was actually tapered to 2 1/4" inside its silencers. Arsehole exhaust.

Fueling on newer maps is a bit interesting - its been tweaked as the season has progressed. The car seems to have a bit of dilema with the MAP sensors and doesnt know how much fuel to put in. Map was tweaked to just chuck fuel in (rich) in those cells. We are hardly in that rev range (expect on track on certain corner exits) so shouldnt be a problem.

Have spare MAP sensors now so may do some investigating.

Top Banana Fee Fee!

Great Result for 2nd place and 2nd in qualifying too, and another Trophy! Very impressed with the change in things from the morning - must have been my team talk on the phone

Not bad for only seeing the track for the first time on the friday Your start/finish trap speed is mighty impressive too considering you have less power than the other GTR's I think.

Kev managed to go just fast enough to save you and Scott from another 5% strike too by 0.04 of a second!

Some pics from Rich

Some data logs (time are slightly different to TSL due to different start/finish locations)

Speed / Distance

Speed/Time

With Lat and Lon G overlayed so you can get an idea or braking and cornering (Lat - brake/acel, Lon - corners/sideways)

Current table should look like

Hopefully you go the footage of your moments at Paddock and Coopers

The g-readings are a bit "mental" where is the box bolted down as the position in the car makes a big difference and in the software you can smooth it out a bit.

the box isnt 'fixed' as in bolted. Its a GPS datalogger on a suction mount (windscreen).

I think the word you are looking for is noisy Mental

it wasnt actually on the windscreen, i just velcro'd it to the dash again

I see, can you mount it solidly somehow on the floor in the middle of the car? this will give the best reading possible.

LOVE the graphs. That looks a really responsive engine, bags of torque that holds well with a smooth progressive power line.

Its quite scarey that a 1.5 tonne road car is doing the same speed as my bike at the end of the start/finish straight With an awfully lot fast lap no doubt.

Excellent. Gutted I wasn't about. 3 years on the f_ing trott now.

What bike do you have? I would have thought it to be quicker than your bike Was that speed on your dash or a logger?

Fee raced a BSP round KH in May and was only beaten by about .2 of a second or something.

Its 100% a 10sec 1/4mile car now

Benelli Tornado, its not actually that fast tbh, plus its got a pussy rider who won't give full throttle out of Clearways after a major rear end step out on his first track day scared him It was 139 on the dash speed, im hitting the brakes about 50m after the last line on the start/fin straight, but us bikers need to brake earlier than you cars. Dash said 129, so prob about 130-135 really.

Its not the outright power I like, its the fact it looks to spool up quickly, hence instant power, not waiting 2-3 secounds for the power to come in.

Won't go there cars will always be faster on track. 2" contact Vs 2 foot contact patch

Watched a recorded MotoGP from Silverstone. Dammm the boy looked like they were going round Becketts and Maggots like they were riding on ice cubes. Visually you could see how much faster the F1 cars go round it.

Don't get under-reading speedo's (unless they are faulty), everybody would get done for speeding.

Uh?

No, the speedo vastly over-reads. Its shows about 140, but im really probably doing about 130-135.

I even know that on some speed tests, the speedo showed 160, but was only doing 148 Bloody Italian sh1t. I bet I crap myself more when entering Paddock though
