Adam, the brightness needs turning down on those wheels mate They stick out like a sore thumb.

The front one has so much camber on it that it looks silly though, and it could never be realistic.

I've not had much time this week and I've been pretty tired after work most days, have made a start but not gotten far. Basically just fixed the rusty bits and made it red so far

What are those wheels off mate, I've never seen them before Nice to see another newcomer having a bash as well

Been working on it pretty much since my last post, here it is so far Not quite done yet but I'm liking it so far. I originally wanted a darker red but if I went much darker than this it lost way too much detail so this'll do.

What I've done:

Colour change (obviously), made the indicators more red, smoked side reps, red Ford badge, lowered, badboy bonnet, removed mudflaps, removed rust, removed annoying yellow strip thing, de-locked.

I've also just realised I've forgotten to crop the top off again but it doesn't matter yet

That's awesome Phil You want it entered in the comp? Shaun had a bash last week as his first in years and he's doing quite well

Cheers mate, first time I've done it and I think it went quite well I used the polygonal lasso tool to make the shape I wanted then used the smudge tool to fill it in. It's quite easy to make it nice and smooth with the polygonal tool with a bit of practice

After that I used the line tool to make a dark red line and a grey line on the edges for the edge and a shadow. It was set to 1px though, which might not be enough, probably should have done it at 2px tbh.

I just remembered, I also modified the sill line ever so slightly at the far bottom corner of the door because I didn't like it

Mate there's blue everywhere. A little tip: use the polygonal lasso and select the body, then change it to subtract from the selection and remove the windows etc. Then copy and paste so it has its own layer. It makes colour changing a million times easier. With the wheels, the rear one is going to look really flat, because with a photo at this angle, the rear wheel is a lot narrower so you can't use the same donor on both wheels, because it's transforming the shape that makes it flat.

Daza that's quality Both wheels have a bit of camber on them and need a degree or two of anti clockwise rotation, but you've obviously gone out so no worries

i had to play about with the wheels so much to get them to fit right, the wheels turned in a bit, maybe thats whats causing it to look like camber, and by the time i got the wheels to ft i couldnt be arsed anymore lol cheers for the c&c tho dave
