Have a look on amazon for some books with routes etc on there. Ive got same problem so ordered the Dorset Mountain bike guide. Was only £9 so if its helps me find a few new rides, perfect.

Also, If you can do 14 miles in 25 mins you should consider getting in touch with team sky

crap i meant to say 25 mins each way which is 7 miles pmsl. having to negotiate traffic lights and main roads in rush hour sucks.

Did a nice 50km route today. Looking forward to doing some more weekday rides in now as I've found that the local bike shop does Thursday evening XC rides

Also think it's about time to give the bike it's first service - can't believe I've done 250 miles on it already and most of that has been through thick mud!

Well first outing using spds for xc trails didnt fall off althpugh I did have the pedals on the loosest setting so easy to unclip if I got in trouble. Found climbing alot easier although need to tighten the pedal as my feet felt loose on the pedals going to do some commutes this week see howI get on cant see me going back to flats will post tbe strava route up in a bit

I have my pedals on MTB loose. Got me out of trouble a few times.

I have just bought Look Keo and Look Keo Blade Carbon pedals for my single speed and road bike and they are lovely. Really positive sounding click when you engage cleat to pedal. Much better than the shimanos I had.

I got them for £103 from Merlin Cycles. Some places are doing for £99 but none of them had them.

Hi

I want to do abit of a trek one weekend, I'm looking at doing a 30-40 mile circuit, at the moment I do roughly 15 miles a day going to work and back - what should I keep in mind when doing a much bigger ride?

Most weekends i'm doing 30-50 miles on either sat or sunday, I just bare in mind water consumption.
