They arent acually made by GM so theres a premium.. BenKid bought one recently and I'm sure it was over £200.

bugger. will have to hope they honour my works trade discount on a buumper aswell. will go in and ask on tuesday.

saying that id rather spend that cash doing other things to the car so might leave the bumper as it is for a bit.

They come un-primed and textured too so a nightmare to prep for painting.

aye so did my nova gsi bumper i got new from vauxhall about 10 years ago. i know some good bodyshop people so it will be no drama. its not on the top of my list really though. will sort it out whenever i can be bothered. roll cages, fuel pumps, more boost, swirl tanks, 15" wheels, lowering tie bars, poly bushes all to do first in no special order.

Im guessing you mean the bit that gets secured behind the arch?

I made something up last week at work out of stainless steel. Not sure if it will work or not yet . Needs a bit of triming, bending and glueing. Will be fitting it next week. I made up the LH and RH bit. I only need the RH bit so if you want to give the LH bit a go its up to you?

I will let you no how it gets on

possibly yeah if all else fails. im going to attach the bumper using some of them dzus clips however instead of the std bolt through arch just to make it easier and less time consuming taking it on and off. have to remove bumper to put car on the dolly you see. this is perhaps why its so bad as its been on and off loads of times.

let me know how you get on with those plates though, interesting idea for sure.

some really nicely presentable box type things

with some of them in for tie bar brackets and bottom arms. probably have a go doing them tomorrow night. will drill the old ones to bits till they fall out. if i fail, will do it in the press at work.

new battery. basically ive been having a lot of voltage issues. the battery on the car was flat all the time. wasnt charging. checked all earths and lives and for a drain etc, couldnt really find anything. then took the caps off the battery, fluid is low in all the cell's. some are nearly 2 inch from the top. one looks actually dry. hopefully a new battery will sort it.

i really liked that sticker when i seen it on the counter at work so i fired one on the corsa.

going to go fit the battery, take car for a run and check the voltages on the lap top with the data logging stuff that comes with the emerald mapping software. make sure everything is now working as it should be. i hope.

why rick, surely your old one would have fitted fine in a corsa?

in other newsm battery been fitted for over an hour. normally car wouldnt start, but it did. going to try it again about 9 ish then see if it starts for the daily commute to work in the morning. if so, winner. if not, have a problem somewhere and really really need to find it and fix it.
