we need to ditch the old players and plan for the future anyway, if Huddlestone was fit i'd want him and wilshire in the middle, without that i'd like parker there as he deserves it although that does go back on my old player theory.

 @ people in this thread Carrol/Crouch & Defoe upfront ahead of Rooney? Behave.
Also why does Rodwell never get suggested for England yet he has some stupidly inflated price tag attached to him?
As for Scott Parker i don't understand the hype surrounding him, he is a half decent player in an average team at best, hence why his Chelsea career never took off, stop listening to media hype, It's worse than the Joe Cole saga @ the world cup.

The last few games i've been Well impressed with that Scott Parker, his goal against us was immense.

ChrisRitch Are you saying Carrol or Defoe have been in better form? Neither have even been playing of late, an Rooney has been playing well, just hasn't been scoring as prolifically as last year an in my opinion is only receiving the criticism he oes because he isn;t living up to his own massive reputation. A reputation AC9 can't live upto with his mere 6 months premiership experience.
Whittie, Not saying he is a bad player, just imo his performances only standout because he is the best of a bad bunch so to speak, I'd rather have Charlie Adam if he were English [/contraversial]

Are you saying Carrick is better than Parker?
Parker is as good as Fletcher imo, very similar players. They do a lot of dog work. That's why they are both good players imo.

Seriously though i would rather have Carrick & Fletcher than Parker as they are proven at the highest level, that's before you even get to Scholesy 
Talking about our midfield, Hargreaves is nearing a return after spending a week rehabilitating in Germany, As unlikely as it seems he will come back at all, i do hope he does, as he is miles better than Carrick & Fletcher
