The whole thing stinks. It could be the potential start of Sheikh Mansour dominating and to a certain extent dictating football. They will be able to buy lots of players almost to stop other clubs buying them and also as said be able to get round the spending rules aswell.

Roswell to Sunderland. If he can stay injury free it could be an excellent signing.

The potential sale of Hernandez and Kagawa is baffling.

Hernandez you can kind of see because of Rooney, RvP and Welbeck, although I'd have Hernandez over Welbeck anyday.

Kagawa is just beyond words though. He is quite clearly better than our other wingers yet we stick with Nani and Valencia all the time. Valencia is a solid runner of the ball but nother else, plus he is 29. Nani still remains inconsistant for me.

The problem with Kagawa, is he isn't actually a winger. He's a number 10, just like Mata and to a lesser extent, Rooney. If LVG is set on playing 3 atb (which appears to be the case), the left and right mid/wing backs will have an awful lot of running to do. That's where Young/Valencia/Rafael/Shaw come in. All have lots of stamina and the pace to get up and down the park. Its why Zaha is giving it a go up front, because he doesn't have the defensive ability. Its probably why Welbeck will get the nod over Hernandez as well, as he is flexible in that regard.

Newcastle have signed Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow from Forest for a combined £7m fee, have seen nothing of either of them but have read the Lascelles is a very promising young Centre Half and Darlow has been signed as back up to Krul so we'll just have to wait and see.

I like Kagawa but Mata is better so he has to go. Rooney can always play in Mata's position if Mata is injured too so we don't really need him unfortunately.

Our interest in vidal has been confirmed by Chilean manager sampiora, the hold up is our doubts over the condition of his knee.

This is the first official quoted confirmation of interest though

Cant see a need for Darlow this year however Lascelles would have been an asset from what I've read, especially given, bar Colo, our centre half options are Taylor, Williamson and Mbiwa

Howard Webb retires United will need to replace him
But seriously, it's a sad day. Not many top level refs left in the PL.
