mine used to hit 128mph on limiter on flat, both ways down a motorway (proving not wind or anything)
with 15" 195/45 wheels
real speed 120ish
got over taken by another corsa 1.6? because i could go any faster! was holding it off the limiter

I didn't think a 1.6 could even do 130mph on a standard rev limit?

It will depend slightly on tyre profiles. Mine is on 195/45/15 and the limiter is 128mph (on my Road Angel, so GPS verified).
If you are using 195/50/15's though, the rolling radius is a bit bigger, so for every revolution of the engine/gearbox, the car will be covering a slightly bigger distance and therefore faster speed, so probably a touch over 130 mph I'd guess.

From quick calcs, if at the rev limit on 195/45/15's the speed is 128 mph, then on 195/50's the speed will be 131.4 mph.

So driving at a speed warning sign if im doing 41mph it tells me to slow down, surely if my speedo is out i could do 45 without it flashing up?
