round my way fastest car ive come up against is a vtr
in my 8v i gave that a good chase
with the 16v ill kill it

and my car is lighter than a normal corsa
fia aproved seats, stripped interior,

soon fia aproved roll cage and motorsport fibregalss panels
roll on nxt year

as a matter of interest did u have to upgrade the shafts and hubs?

no there std gsi items
so they should be fine
ive gotta take my time my back is playng up so i work for 30 mins then ave a cupa tea i doo 1 hing a time
first up is sort the fuel lines then exhast manifold, wiring on the car loom
then ill do the shafts when my bro comes home ill sort the linkage out
ive done the clutch
if the accel cable comes in the post ill fit that

and the vacumm pipe

then lastly the cat that i hope will fit

i have all the parts that have to go on in a seperate garage so i know not to forget anything

Oh god, this is gonna be me tomorrow morning

Freezing to death, I'm gonna move the front of the car into the garage and start taking things to pieces. Don't give a fcuk if I break anything, the engine is'nt work anything anyway

right engine is wired up an i hate the starter wiring and i hate the alternator and espeially the earth connectionon the back of the engine

yeah thats real easy to get to ... not.

any way its wired up, exhaust is on.
gearlinkage is connected but i think ive gotta adjust it a little as 5th is not selecting right


ive got the driveshafts to fit tomorow and put oil in the gearbox connect 1 hose and fill with coolent. screw the ecu in and attch the header tank and baterey, and drive belt
oh and the cat im putting it off cos i dunno if itll fit


and that should be it

Bloody hell mate, dont come over to Nottingham then! We have some VERY VERY quick cars. At the local weekend meets its common to be rolling next to 300 - 400BHP Jap metal and we have a couple of 500+ bhp sierra cossies

drive shafts ftted alt fitted collent sys nearly completed

i need a de-cat pipe for a gsi
or a gsi cat urgently as i have one that wont fit

also if you fit a 55amp alternator to a engine that a 70 amp alternator would this cause the engine not to start?

Doubt it, there are loads of cars out there with bigger alternators on than stock for ICE etc.

Will a scorpian group a system bought for a 8v sri, go on a gsi alrite?? Or you have to get one made for a gsi?
