You said that your ECU was restricting the engine for the first 500miles, yet you go on to say that you upped the boost almost immediately. What a dumb thing to do, then you say you cant rag it, yet you take the car to 100mph, a very stressful thing to do on a brand new car. Expect the engine to start rattling in the near future, maybe your first service. You work for vauxhall, yet you know nothing about running a car in. Its not only the engine, but all moving parts which need to be bed in so that they can work together efficiently. Dumb-ass.

diesel tuning is fucking mint,
500quid, superchip (40+bhp gain) not some stupid 15 or what for petrol
increase fueling 50% and boost 100% gives another say? 30 bhp? so thats him at 150bhp for 500quid
now
petrol owners, how much bhp could u get for 500quid?
nowhere near 80bhp thats certain.
dont even get me started on diesel NOS applications also
as they respond a lot more to NOS than petrol, he could easly put some 75-100 bhp jets on there without a problem.
250bhp 1.3 diesel? i fucking think so, you wouldnt be laughing then in ure poxxy 2litre corsa/nova

plus the common rail injection is quality. better fuelling than a petrol. i used to be a petrol head but after driving this 1.3cdti im a believer. bcuz its diesel people automatically say slow. ill take any people in a 1.2 16v corsa down a stretch-c what happens then.

fairplay theres some wankers on this site
70bhp from a 1.3 denzil is quite respectable. as said about tuneability for your money is much better than you'll ever get on a petrol engine
Personally i got a 20bhp increase proven on a RR (on my 1.5TD) from fitting a bleed valve and adjusting the fuelling. the bleed valve cost me 20 so thats. You do the maths
alright so its not rapid in comparison to other cars but it sounds pretty bloody decent all things considered
Now shut the hell up you diesel doubters

his money in the end, let him tune whatever engine he wants, its not always about having the biggest and best, its about getting something and see what you can do with it.

i can give you a link to a website where a guy is running a 1.9 tdi which started off as the 90 bhp version in an old mk3 vento, last time it was rolling roaded it made 225 bhp. thats not running nos though, so could be well over 300 bhp with it.

those figures biggest load of bollocks i've heard.
u wouldn't use nos for everyday use, well he might , also 75 jets don't mean u get that in hp more like half, plus i doubt the turbo could hold 100% more boost
superchip is a set program, just makes the car overfuel, u don't get any control

nos works a lot better in diesels due to the compression. 50 bhp jets in a petrol are probably more like 25 bhp, but in a diesel much nearer 50 bhp.
my turbo runs twice as much boost as it did standard, and has done for 2 years with no problems. but then my engine isnt ecu controlled, its all manual

well of course you wont get double the power from doubleing the boost. i do have 50 % increase though. just turning the boost pressure up doesnt meen it will increase power, its a fine balance between boost pressure, temperature and fuelling. you can run higher boost and actually loose performance as the air is too hot.
those figures are realistic, there was a corsa 1.5 td posted on here that made 185 bhp, thats a 300% increase over normal power. people refuse to believe td's can be tuned, when infact they can be the same if not more than petrol turbo cars.
