I love my Astra. It does a 14.6 1/4 and could do a lot faster.
If they are not very good cars, why do they win nearly everything on the touring car circuit??

Touring car astras are a LOT different to the Road cars...

does the clio cup not have variable valve timing too? just not used in a so efficient way.
I think it deman's more skill to drive a vtec fast then a car with torque, as the torque can cover up driving / gear changing mistakes whereas if u make a bad guessed change etc.. you can really notice it in a type r/vtec i love em. real driving satisfaction if you get it right.

I think you get two kinds of driving enthusiasts..
1. those who love driving, the handling, power delivery etc..
2. those that just want figures, as it gives them a bit of a confidence boost.
I couldnt give a shit if an Integra Type R did 0-60 in 20 seconds, if it was as much of a laugh to drive as it is now, I wouldnt be bothered..
