yea good point, but he is gonna be paying through the nose for it, because of the modded stuff etc
But if youve got the cash mate, get your own otherwise, your only option is to be on your dads etc

yesh but in the long run you will save money.

i insured my 1st car for 1k tpft and it was a mk2 xr2. cams headwork. Fast as fcuk.

then went to the ibiza and was 2k FC

then Corsa all mods declared for 1100fc.

Its so worth it mate.

Live in the country.

Thanks for the feedback

what are the mods?
but if it was standard 1.4, i recon about 2k. The cheapest insurance i could get for my T reg 1.2 @ 17 (and i spent about 3 days solid looking) was 1500 quid and that was standard, pkus i live in the sticks too. So yea about 1800 quid standard, with mods (depends) i would say between 2 - 4k mate.

On a 1.2, the cheapest I've been quoted is £2400 fully comp, with no mods (I'm 19). I'm going to end up buying a car worth less than a grand, and keep that for two years with just TPF&T, otherwise it's gonna cost me an absolute fortune if the car gets written off.

tbh, insurance is wank at 17/18, your pretty much stuck to having a shoppy cart, unless youve got the £££ to splash out on insurance (or go TPFT).

By the way does this mean I can do no more mods than what I have done already.
I had plans to have windows tinted.
handles all colour coded
and boot smoothed or just colour code the boot handle.

oh my god i just remebered somethin

When i turned 21 i insured my Corsa again but as a 2.0 16v as the conversion was meant to take place straight away.

it never happened an then changed it back to 1.2 16v on insurance.

i was payin £945tpft on 2.0 16v
and £475 on 1.2

But crashed the 1.2 and didnt get payout due to being TPFT.

So dont go TPFT unless ur cars value in under 1k. mine was bout 4k!

ooops
