Aye I said that straight away even when he was running towards the goal before he was brought down, as he was free.
On the replay it showed Rooney, head down running towards the goal not looking up, so he might not have knew he was there.
Think everyone would of done the same though tbh.
Just wasnt our day after it looked so promosing for 90 minutes.

Wasnt really down to Becks not scoring, the penalty was good, but the keeper was better, judged it well timed it right and the better man came off in the end. england let their guard down at the end and made many stupid mistakes, but it aint over yet.

was a good game and in the end YES the french were lucky..Can't ague with the quality of ZZ's free kick but did heskey have to give it away...happens so quick though.....
Gerrard...well...it's a shame but one BAD pass and he has blown it..but james could have stood up and not chopped him....
James and Silvestre were lucky to stay on the field..
Still think u will beat Swiss and croats..they looked shite today...

They both lost it for us, heskey for giving that free kick away in a stupid position and gerrard for the sjite pass, and also rooney for not sqauring for vassell instead going on his own and coming down in the box..
