Its better in what way?
Is it faster than a 1.6 corsa?
Does it handle better than a 1.6 corsa?
Is the drive more engaged / in touch with the road than a corsa sport??
My answer to every one of these questions is a big fat NO!
So the only thing I can think of is the fact you may like the look of an Astra over the corsa... which doesnt make it a better drive!?

err my astra does beat 1.6 corsa's does out handle most corsa's even with an after market suspension set up. does feel more in touch with the road ( well at least to my old corsa) and looks a shit load better

it has fast road cams new inlet chipped enlarged throttle body st/st exhaust ind kit
so its a little more nippier than a std corsa sport

yeah it should be with those mods.
you had it on the rollers?
changed the engine management at all?
there will be a few more horsies to gain if you now properly map all those mods to your engine
(BTW... a corsa with the same mods as you would show you its heels, power : weight says so!!)

My old astra is still the best car i have ever drove in terms of comfort and ease of drive!
