I totally disagree and I'm not saying that cos' of anyone elses opinion I really like the astra in comparison at least it hasn't got all in one style lights on front and back and the kit doesn't flare out from the middle to the floor, like the simple looking fogs and bug eye style lights suit it imo. back is alot lot nicer aswell, sporty looking and not cheap tacky looking.

Ant you anus they are'nt the standard mirrors on the car, they are the Steinmetz ones, and so is the exhaust.
You cannot say the new CTR looks better than the VXR, unless your a fan of Delta kits.

but isnt that a good thing that on the civic the lights front and rear are similar it gives it that flow through the design.

why cant i say that ojc, it s public forum where opinions are allowed, im not an anus and very immature of u to say that.
im not a fan of delta kits or the whole max power generation and i think your just bullshittig cos ur such a fan of all things vauxhall.
i think the CTR is a much nicer looking car, pushing the boundaries on car design and it will show when the CTR out sells the astra.

i highly doubt something designed to look like footware will outsell the VXR.
Pushing the boundaries of car design just so they are UNIQUE. GAY GAY GAY when it looks fucking hideous and serves no purpose other than to make mcdonalds employees cum in their white nylon panties

i wouldnt be too sure, its one of those cars thta wil either be a success or be a total flop, i can seriously see the motorworld looking back on it saying "Honda took a chance and it didnt pay off, it was just too overdesigned for people to buy"

honda dont generally make bad handling cars, all of their previous type-rs have been an amazing drive. so id put my money on this being no exception, since the hot hatch market is such a strong market.

Yeh but the point is, average joe who knows f*ck all about cars - will not know the civic is 'designed to look like that'. They will think it's a car with OTT bumpers on it.
FFS - Even my 106 Gti - (completely standard exterior wise) I get people going 'Wow, you have a done up version of my 106' (and they have a normal 106) - a lot of people I meet (who are not car people) have no idea that my car came standard looking like it does - most people I meet think I've stuck skirts and stuff on it.
This is my only point. There are a lot of people out there who won't know what a 'Civic Type R' is or what it means, these people will laugh at the 40 year old men, driving what is in their eyes a Civic with loads of tat stuck to it.
Having said that - the people who know what it is, will look past the horror show exterior and know what the car means in performance and handling. Just the way the car drives alone will ensure the car sells by the bucket load, I'd imagine outselling the Astra VXR by miles.

I'd disagree paul i'd say the kids will buy this car and no fucker who's over 30 and not having a mid-life crisis would touch it.
I'd still see it outselling the vxr but i don't see that in itself as a bad thing

after being in a CTR last weekend my vectra is much better built inside with nice plastic. engine won't break unless it's abused.
