Yes it has a fast engine, but thats all its got going for it these days IMO

The engine is powerful Dave, not fast.

The engine is only fast when the rest of the car is going fast, as it is bolted to the car.

So is any Mitsubishi Lancer, or any other car for that matter.

The Carlton is very smooth and aerodynamic for a box though.

The Enzo is a Ferrari Dave.

And it looks like clown shoes by the way.

Zonda is a bit silly looking too.

i know the 0-60 is 4.2 and it goes off the clocks at 180mph.

Nothing else has been timed.

No idea what the MPG is though

Around a track im sure the EVO would be infront aswel, far superior handling

As previously said, it has a good engine. But that power can be made much easier these days, more reliably and more balanced

Not many production cars making 370+ bhp more reliably or balanced than the LC.

I'd rather have a house and the Carlton instead.

Enzo is f*cking hideous though, and wouldn't have one as a gift.

Could deffo tempt me with an F40 though.

point F make me laugh the most, just liek your comment about the cos seirra the other day

i have never looked at a car thinking "oh that will pull women" TBH if thats the type of thing you think about dave, why dont you go and buy a MR2 kitted up as a 355, all the girls will be impressed that you own a ferarri and think you have a really big cock

So true, not a lot of point in having a car that pulls the birds if the driver can't.

much easier to pull them with a car, than having to look interested when they spout a load of bullshit to you for hours

You will get much more attention driving an enzo down the street than you would a kitted up carlton.

On a track, ferrari wins again.

Pull up outside a club in an enzo or a carlton, i know who wil be taking the girl home

1) LC looks are timeless.

2) Who wants attention other than an attention seeking nobody?

3) Debatable

4) The girl will be a prostitute, gold digger, or both.

Not a ''tuned-up'' Vauxhall Dave.

They were built by Lotus.

They are supercars.

Lotus did what Mercedes and BMW did with the 500E and M5, only they beat them at their own game.

We should be proud of something our country did that trounced the Germans for a change, rather than poking fun at it unjustly and drooling after an oddly shaped piece of Italian tat.

liek i say dave, without re reading you the whole history of how and why the LC came about, you wont understand why its so good

but like any other want to be (insert famous occupation here) you would just go for the handbag car

i didnt even bring the enzo into this conversation, you did

i was quite happy saying how much better it was than its modernday counterpart the EVO

The Evo isn't realy it's counterpart Jimbo.

The Lancer is too small and unrefined. Too much of a pocket rocket to be compared.

The latter day Monaro would be the LC's contemporary.

I am a big fan of Lancers and Imprezzas, they are fantastic cars, but I know what I would have if it came down to a choice between a Monaro and a Lancer.

Btw, every Lancer after the Evo 6, and every Imprezza after the P1 look as though they were designed by a blind madman with no hands.

The Evo 7 looks like a Montego.
