Source a 1.2 8v engine from somewhere there only worth about 50quid!

If you buy a GTi for 150quid or so.... its going to have issues.... most likely a seized rear beam....

is it really going to be worth selling it though?

just fit standard 1600 XE... 1 seat 1 harness...

that will be the cheapest option... You are throwing a lot of money away if you sell as a rolling shell.

Susp, brakes?

i think you have a cheap track car staring you in the face

Just fit a damn engine!!!! Then maybe sell for 1500+ when its all going and youve had a bit of fun with it.

Most of the stuff youhave listed as 'needing' can be found really cheap!!!

Rad and lights are a no brainer from scrappies etc! Harnesses from ebay, seat too...

Its not hard, just needs to get started!

Do you not have a std seat you could fit for the time being?

Forget about cage/coilovers etc.... they can be done as and when

DVLA have agreed to let me tranfer the plate from the yellow car, to the C, and put the old plate back on the yellow car, all for 80 quid, even though the yellow car is SORN'd.

just took a bit of grovelling (and luck with the MoT and Tax still being valid on the car )
