aye, digidash's dont seem to be that accurate...probably a few percent more so than clocks but still relies on crude tranducer - the abs sensor seems to be probably the most accurate readout you will get on a corsa

correct matey, 127mph top speed with standard ratios and final drive on an F15 and 6750rpm rev limit

the gearbox is good for 160mph with an 8k limiter. although you might need to sort the dynamics and fit something with a large turbo

my 1.4 16v reads about 5mph less at 70 than my GPS...this difference becomes more the quicker i go...my speedo has gone to 110 but i think it could be more via gps...personally tho it hates it and feel uncomfortable to drive like this

Have to look into that. Presumed the 1.4 and 1.6 shared the same limiter as they are very similar engines....
My XE revs to 7000rpm on the dash, but the XE's limiters are actually about 76700-6800rpm.
Anyone with a 1.6 care to bouch to the limiter to confirm its a 6750rpm limit?

My 1400 also had a 6750rpm rev limit
Maybe the later cars had higher limits? Mine was a '99 and the 1.6 was a '99 engine too.

X14XE engines remained the same.
All 16v motors peaked their power at 6000rpm.
Was your 6750 showing on the rev counter, or from an engine readout?
