the back of the bonnets high as its not bolted onto the hinges, just popped in on the catch, im happy with the fit though

Finnaly got round to getting it ready for primer tonight, been busy doing other cars and i was at silverstone over the weekend so havn't done much to it. Gonna prime it wednesday night and leave it to dry and all sink in till saturday so should have it painted next weekend.

put the handles on bars so i can open the handle to get paint underneath

there is no damage to the top part of the car (except the small dent in the roof) so it doesn't need primer up there. When i rub the primer down i will key the rest of the paint with 800 grit and a grey scotch ready to paint straight over with the colour

It actually looks really nice. The only things I didn't like when I had a good look at it were the bonnet vent and the rear bumper. The side skirts look so much better smoothed in

i chopped most of the sides of the bumper away and some of the centre grill section then rebuilt it with fibre glass paste to the shape i wanted. it was so misshaped it was like it twisted when it came out the mould before it was set. cheap kit though i think. side skirts are the best bits really as it looks kinda like a wide arch one rather than just stuck on.

got the car in primer tonight . Put five heavy coats on as there is alot of filler work. Gonna block it back down on saturday when it has fully hardened and settled. Very pleased with how it looks and all the filler work is pretty flat so shouldn't take alot of blocking down. hopefully be painting the car and doors on sunday if all goes to plan.

put an extra coat on the boot so it will be nice and flat

theres nothing wrong with priming the whole car is to put three coats on the filler area and then two coats over the whole lot, this way there is five coats on the filler and two on the rest of it, saves wasting material really. I used the tintable Glasurit, tinted light grey but looks more like white so is a good base colour for the top coat

you mean you didn't have full trust in me. Its a primer gun from work got a 2.2mm fluid tip so it really throws the primer on. gonna get my 1.8mm primer gun soon though.
it does look good though. the rear bumper isn't amazing but it doesen't look too bad now coz i got rid of the strange vent things in the side
