just to clear it up, I am not saying it because you don't post much, I said it because it didn't seem as fast as I was expecting.
I didn't mean any offence, which you and Phil have clearly taken.
At no point did I take the piss.

OK I've just wasted some time on this thread.
Might see if I can have the swear filter censor out power figures while we can't have adult conversation about them.
Also please don't make assumptions about this web site. Its the people who are posting, not the web site. There are a number of people who don't believe that the car will be making 190bhp on a standard inlet and I'm with them being honest.
Road figures are guesswork at best. Its quick. Now can we all just get along please.

it cannot make 190 on a std inlet and afm and std ecu, it cant. id be very very suspect if it could make a real 180 either

i never once said it was 180 or 190 yes the figure came out at 179.5 but there has to be a limit if the standard inlet will not go over 180 it can shurly get very close to that figure

i think the point most people originally tried to point out was on the mods you have, the rollers mustnt be accurate as 179 is carbed/basic tb'd engine bhp

ok so give or take a few bhp i still think the figure is around wot it shud be if u look at the vid properly i dont let of untill the 1st or 2nd second an it hits 60 after 6 seconds so give or take a second or two again it is still prety fast

No doubt its quick mate, but the lads who are doubting it have built these cars before. Nic (muppetsport) has a 2.0 turbo animal corsa, Dave A has his own business in engine tuning etc. So I would trust their judgement.

Might be wise to run it at the pod to see how fast it covers ground. You have a good power figure, but you need to measure the pace properly as well if you want to be sure.

There's the first RWYB on the 21st Jan.
Give "Justtrials" a chance to prove me and the others wrong that his car "seems" slow.
Rob
PS... i wasnt dissing you or your car in my first post. I was just commenting that it didnt seem quick for what its supposed to be. Ive had 2.0 16v's and its a hell of a lot quicker than your video.

Standard 20XE engien can be taken up to 190-200bhp using the standard inlet..
If LET's are good for 400bhp, so the XE is good for 200, its just how much air its sucking in.....
Give Swindon Race Engines a call to discuss the tuning packages they offer. After all, they used too build the Formula Vauxhall engines............
But i guess some people on this site know more than them
Also, frankly, most 2.0 Corsas will do 7+ seconds to 60mph, the Astra GTE was only rated at 7.4 remember.... Most corsas have bigger than 15" wheels, some with kits, this makes a HUGE difference. Theres only a few i know really that'll be in the mid 6's 0-60mph on this site..
