I am quite aware of my higher insurance premium thanks, now please leave as you seem to be boring everyone.
I dont agree with speeding in the wrong places at the wrong time and I know I have broken the law by driving at over twice the speed limit, all I asked for was some opinions on what I may face at court...

it is, but there is a difference at speeding 4-5mph over the limit, and then 30mph over it.

Talking about speeding can the police use a radar gun while sitting in their car with the window up???
I passed one the other day doing about 35, slammed on the anchers when I saw it but not sure what he was up to

not contradicting myself at all. If you read what I have been saying its that doing those kinds of speeds is stupid. Not speeding in general at a few miles over the limit.
And yes speeding is speeding, but the reaction times of doing 34mph and 65mph are alot alot different.

I've been done for speeding in a 30mph zone. It made me realise how fucking stupid it is! I religously stick to 30 limits now...

yeah but what im sayin is that exceeding the limit by 1 mph or 50. at the end of the day, r stil the same law!
its no different to dropping some litter or dumping a truck load of shit. its still the same crime.....poluting!!!

TBH 60 in a 30 looks a lot worse in the eyes of an insurer/law/people as it is double the speed limit. Try telling someone/anyone that you got caught doing 60/30 then tell them 36/30 - Check the different reactions
I just feel that you're unlucky to get caught.
It always does my head in that someone on the site always feels the need to cast their own personal opinion on the person that got caught.
The idea of this thread was for Matt to ask what sort of punishment he can expect for his actions. Not to be called a twat.

no its not at all...thats why they have different fines / punishments for different speeds. you trying to say if you stole a penny sweet you'd get the same punishment as stealing the crown jewels?? I think NOT!!

I see you cut the main bit out that explained why it is different!
I said it is still speeding, yes. And it is against the law, yes.
But if someone steps out infront of you at 35mph then your reaction time will allow for a greater chance to stop/move/them to move/etc. than if your doing 65mph.
