Not too technically minded myself so will probably be wrong this but the best way i can explain it is the bottom pulley was loose and all the splines slowly got chewed away etc etc outcome bent valves and the rest that goes with it.

the bottom pulley bolt hasnt been tightened up
so it has come loose and chewed the keyway on the pulley
luckily the crank looks ok
obviously bent some valves but wont know hw many till head is off
I have 8 valves fook knows where the other 8 are and im not sure if they are inlet or exhaust ones
also needs a new bottom gear pulley, head gasket set and a cambelt
then the head needs to go to park engineering (top guys who know there stuff) and check all the valve guides are ok/replace them
then back together
