all the engines got is FMI, phase 3 chips, adjusted fuel reg, uprated acutator and thats bout it. still can turn the boost up more but the clutch is too bad. my quess is its 280 at the min

if you can be bothered with a paddle clutch, i have helix in mine, done 21k on it and its had a fair bit of abuse aand power through, still loads of life left in it. theyre costly, but i think theyre good clutch

well had a day off after my birthday so id thought id better do something to my car

got some silicone hoses for my turbo, only think was i had to take the turbo off to fit them so here goes

well took my turbo off, oh how much fun that was, block had got a bit dirty

gave it a bit of a clean up while i could get to it. i mean why on earth would you paint a block white in the first place

old looking turbo with crappy hoses

gave it a bit of a polish and a paint

also found that my manifold gasket was blowing a bit, which couldnt of been help so got a new gasket

turbo was finished and looked loads better

got it fitted

then but it back together

looks a million times better now i think

well been busy at the weekend

started out like this

few bit off later

and it ended up like this

and one fucked head

well my head has gone porous. have know about it on my car for a while but hasnt really been mixing too much but giving it a run to norwich on sat to get my f28 topped it off i think, so took the lot off as i was board

any hoo got another head in my shed and a few spare gasket that i just happened to have in stock it should be back together soon

had half a day at work so got a bit of time on my car

quickly checked over my spare head, seems ok had new valve stem seals when i last had it on so left em, gave it a quick clean up and changed the cams and lifters over form my old head then bolted the inlet on

gave the block a quick sand down and a clean

and then stuck the head back on, easy peasy

started to build it back up

cambelt on

then turbo back on with a few wires here and there

got board after that so will do some more after work tomorrow.

should be up and running again soon i hope anyway

absolutly love your car mate, so would your car feel faster having a f28 gearbox rather than a f20?

thanks for the comments

porous head is where the head crack and the oil mix's with the water and have a party wooo

happens on the mainly non coscast heads(gm) as the are made of weaker ally
