Would it annoy you if someone done 50mph on the Mway & you were late & couldnt get past???
If you live in a wee village built before the roads were there then of course 30 might not be possible but where I am the roads are long & straight, houses built around them - so 30mph is manditory, any less & your having a laugh!!

That is the thing, believe me my bro is)was stupid on a bike, wheelieing past the owners of the race shools he worked for, winning clown of the year that kind of thing at the race schools he worked for. on the road, he got knocked off years ago at low speeds (he wasn t feeling well that day!) at a junction from a car turning onto the road that didnt see him, he was thrown up in the air and his leg landed across the kerb smashing his tib and fib, could easy have been his head.

It would annoy me on the motorway, yes, but in a 30 limit, no.
I live in a little village with windy roads, you could do 50 on some bits though, without any trouble, but there's kids about, I'd rather do 25 and not hit one, than 35 and one ride a bike from behind a car and my car not stop in time.

S-funny that, sure my old mans 47 now, and been riding since he was 16.
You sure its not jsut a case of your mother said to you "now don't you go on one of them nasty 2 wheeled motorbike thingys"....
Take the g-string off and put on some pants...
Yeh, was also hilarious when we saw a lorry hit a bike on the M1 a few days ago too

Yeah of course you have to watch out for others more than yourself, id say that for driving anything on the roads but particularly bikes though. I was meaning with the speed they are capable of doing - that I wouldnt trust myself with. I like a bit of speed & can control myself in a car to act sensibly but think a bike would be a different ball game!!

Will agree about the whole think they are better than they are though. 8 years riding, and i still consider myself a novice really. Thats why it chaffs my gonads when a new rider goes out and buys a sports 600cc. Yeah, open the throttle in a striagh line, wooooooooooo so hard.... Braking and cornerings where its at, but with our roads, you can never push it.
Still, nice to go out for a ride with the missy on the back on a nice summers day. Just because its smaller and faster, doesn't mean you HAVE to use it.
Flat out ridings best saved for the track, but you can ride at 80% comfortably on teh road if you know them well.
Yeah, he used to work at a few race schools and would see it alot, people coming along thinking they were the dogs bollox, he said there would be a few on the odd occasion that were decent. Exactly what you said, most have big bikes straight away, go fast stop, turn, go fast kinda thing. Most people that race go through the ranks 125 etc were corner speed is key.

When peolpe see 30, they imediatly think of houses so close to the pavement you can hold your hand out and touch them
you really can't judge unless you see where you're speeding..
I admit 70 in a 30 is stupid, but until you see the road, and the conditions, you can't really comment on anyone saying they speed

Thats true but it must be close to a town/houses or where people are going to be or it wouldnt be a 30!!
I know what its like you can be doing a backroad & come towards a little town & the 30mph limit starts way before you get to the built up area & going back to 30mph seems a waste of time & like your hardley moving, but its got to be done!! A friends workmate got caught doin 120 in a 30 in his P1 in a similar scenario. These are the places your gonna get caught

Yeah I understand.
Peolpe are going to get caught more often tehre because it's pointless in being a 30, and EVERYONE speeds.. whether it's 2MPH over, or 20....

Its way too easy to come out a 60mph road (doing 100+), not bother to loose the speed & get caught!! Seen it hapen way too many times, thats why I just do as im told. I know im not going to kill anyone, but that wont brush off with the law

lol a ban no points is not better than say 6 points!!
You may now have no points, but if you tell insurance you've been banned before you'll be paying premiums like drink drivers.
