This is a load of crap, at the end of the day you might have the fastest car in the world like Steve but you wont beat anything on a track if your not man enough to drive it so your figures are all irrelevant.

0-85/90 on a strip will be very very very close between a 106 gti and 306 gti imo! will be down to the driver

my points were originally aimed at cupra steve who posted shit about standard gti's being qukcer than a 306 thats all. ive posted asking how many 106 gtis run under 7 seconds to 60mph to which i have still had no answer.
And as part of that point i have seen quiet a few 306 rallyes/gtis run under 7seconds to 60mph (standard)

Even though the 306 is heavier, it still has more power to weight than a 106 GTI and with it having a 6 speed box, Im guessing its ratios are going to be closer. And I remember rucking with one years ago in my old 2 ltr Corsa when it was running throttle bodies and there wasnt much in it! Im thinking the 306 may have this one y'know! Not by loads, but by enough.
