Looks good does that Dan! Should sound well as the rear box looks big enough to quieten it down a bit!

Is the new manifold bigger or is it the same?

Spark plug in the old exhaust looks cool

the manifold is 2.25" aswell.

Will give it a bit more oomph. sorting the dodgy lifters in a week or so but the tappings getting louder so maybe a valves buggered

started up car tother day to a mass of blowing from the manifold, which i dont get as its tight with a fresh gasket :S

mid pipe joint is blowing mind due to having a horseshoe thats too big so is only pressing two sides oops.

will buy some newuns soon. apart from that sounds ace even while blowing a load

took off and refitted the manifold as the flange is say 3 mil thinner than the original, dont think the nuts were used to being tighteed so far and so ive fitted some washers too, should stop the blowing.

also fitted 58mm horseshoes to the system that i had to bash on with a hammer so no blowing should result from them bwahaha.

After jacking up the car however, and going to tighten my gear linkage, it appears that someone snapped the selector arm and only tack welded it up!

Dont know when its been done as i never noticed it before even when i inspected it when buying the car.
Sending the arm off to my ddads work to have an engineer fully weld it back up and strengthen it. should sort it.

Cars in a sorry state at the minute for the amount of money spent, needs a wash too

Update soon

you got it in one

Really raspy after 3/3.5k from how far ive driven it so far, but still bowrbly under it if you get me.

Gear linkage is all welded up now! helped me dad's mate chris do it and its come out mega strong! Pics up when i get me camera off my bro.

Next stop is back to dave to try and sort the running problems. Found out the tapping was something catching under the cam cover, but the car's still missing/etc so we still suspect lifters/compression.

Also found most of the bolts in the gearbox bellhousing were loose other day! Dave assured me he torqued them etc and i beleive him, but they wer all about 1/2mm loose in thread terms.

Fingers crossed it'll finaly be fixed soon everyone

As i posted again thought i'd upload the pics i have of the recent progress too.

Includes what the new exhaust looks like/stripped rear.
I still have to remove all the glue and stuff from the rear so the carpet's still in

Thinking of buying some CF panels for the boot and sides - or do you think i should leave it ghetto-metal

Exhaust exit - mega subtle!

Manifold.... with covering peeling off lol.

Stripped rear....
