Ok lads,
the time has come to go-ahead with the bonnet group-buy order, if those who've posted their interest are still wanting to buy.
Those who've registered interest are:
N90ATH,
W4LTN,
Joe-Tait,
Corsa172,
Tubbycorsa1
C4RLO
All others are welcome to join in.
This group-buy will receive a 10% discount over our normal prices:
£395 (£355) - Standard road-spec bonnet (carbon outer, gloss black fibreglass inner stucture) (6kg)
£495 (£445) - Full carbon road-spec. Fully carbon inside and out. (5kg)
£395 (£355) - Full carbon race-spec. For use with bonnet pins, 100% carbon/honeycomb bonnet. (4-5kg)
£345 (£310) - Carbon outer race-spec. Mixture of carbon, honeycomb and fibreglass. (5kg)
Postage and packaging can be bought for £29.50 if we're too far away to collect. (insured against any loss or damage).
Payments can be made over the phone (07717418174), to paypal: sales@performance-trim.com or by cheque to 'performance-trim'.
Payments will need to be received in the next 10 days in order to be part of the group buy.
As soon as 5 people have ordered, the bonnets will begin production in the order in which they were paid for. It'll be 2-3 weeks before the first bonnet is available (after moulds are made), and approx two per week from then on.
The gsi bumper buy will go ahead after the bonnet buy, giving us time to source a gsi bumper. (we have already bought a brand-new corsa bonnet).
Please call, email or U2U if there's anything else we can help you with.

is the brand new corsa bonnet a vauxhall part? will u be doing a bad boy bonnet ?
how are the captive nuts (threads for bolts to go in) etc held into the carbon bonnet where the bonnet bolts on??

The bonnet we have is not a GM part, but I have checked it out, and it makes no difference for our purposes. Fit and finish will be perfect I assure you. (the important thing is to not reproduce dents and scratches that you'd find on an old bonnet.
The captive nuts are moulded in place within the laminate (big-head fasteners).
We will not be doing a bad-boy bonnet, unless there's an equally good demand after the oem shape bonnets are produced. We only tend to make OEM style light-weight parts.
cheers, Mike

surely if its moulded from a non genuine bonnet then it will fit like a non genuine bonnet?

we've checked the fit, and its spot-on. It costs us around £1000 - £1500 to make a new mould, so we wouldn't ever compromise where it matters.
So far, we've received payments from Tubbycorsa and C4rlo.
That means we're still waiting for:
N90ATH,
W4LTN,
Joe-Tait,
Corsa172,
Anyone else is welcome to join. If you're on the list but have changed your mind for any reason, please let us know.
cheers, Mike.

Just to re-assure everyone, these will be made in the next few weeks - but the group-buy discounts will only be available if you commit before friday (I've extended it a little, as some people have a pay-day approaching). After friday it'll be full price
Please call if you have any questions about this, or if you're interested in ordering.

My door cards should be here tommorow, i really want a bonnet and would have no problem paying the group buy bonnet price but the + postage puts me off. I think if you offered them group buy price of £350 delivered you would sell twice as many. I would have one for sure
