Gav good power figures on the gsi

how come peak torque is low, i thought they were around 109 ft lb standard?

goes to show how an accurate and repeatable dyno can be so important, Nothing comes close to Dyno Dynamics for that.

yer they are if you look at matt_b's results however I think mine sustains torque better then before when it was standard

Yeh I agree with pow, they were good. Really friendly, good service, etc...

Power Engineering, apart from Ian Ball - was full of grumpy people... like I remember going up to the office to pay and they were proper grumpy / stroppy at me...

If I ever have a car that requires mapping I'll definately consider Torque of the devil.

Paul, there's less than 0.2% difference between our dyno and TOTDs.

Engines wear out, there's hundreds of reasons which could cause the difference in figures, the main one is the two year gap....

it was never 160 bhp my mate's was 160 bhp... was completely different car to drive - pulled hard to the limiter

160 or 147, its irrelevant really as the true way an engine performs is down to what happens between 0bhp and the peak power, the peak power figure is a gimmick that car companies use to sell cars.
